Halfmoon
A new boat and motorsports retailer will open this fall along Halfmoon Parkway, U.S. Route 9, where Lindsey’s Country Store and Sweet Shoppe was located before closing in January.
Greg Goldstein, owner of the used-car dealership GT Toyz, said he will be moving to the new location in September, when he’ll begin selling Avalon brand pontoon boats, as well as motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and side-by-sides from a yet-undisclosed motorsports brand.
With the move, Goldstein said he’ll expand operations to include a new maintenance and repair shop and a sales team, and will hire 10 employees to staff the location.
“This particular corridor seems to have some great traffic on it,” said Goldstein, whose current dealership sits less than half a mile from the new location. “It’s an easy commute from anywhere.”
Goldstein said he will still be selling used trucks and cars at the new spot, but said his plan has always been to incorporate boats and motorsport vehicles to his business. He said he’ll eventually sell other boat brands in addition to Avalon.
